'Heavy Metal Islam' Book Author Guests On 'Uprising' Radio Show; Audio Available

Musician and college professor Mark LeVine , who spent the past six years jamming with musicians, and interviewing fans and performers alike at heavy metal concerts all around the Middle East and North Africa for his new book, "Heavy Metal Islam: Rock, Resistance, and the Struggle for the Soul of Islam", about emerging heavy metal/hard rock in conservative Islamic nations, was a recent guest on "Uprising", a popular daily radio program airing weekdays on 90.7 FM in Los Angeles and 98.7 FM in Santa Barbara.
